Illini Interactive Seder | 6:30 p.m. | Hillel
Looking for a seder with a creative and interactive twist? The Illini Interactive Seder is anything but bland. Engaging? You bet. Grape juice and wine? It’s tradition! Gefilte fish? We have our hands tied on that one. We will bring the Passover story to life through an English reading of a progressive Haggadah with plenty of interactive activities and lively discussion. The seder will include Hebrew prayers and will be conducted in English with English commentary. Transliteration and translation will be provided. Singing will be
encouraged. Led by Rabbi Heather Paul.
Traditional Seder | 7:30 p.m. | Hillel
Seeking out a traditional seder which may look similar to what you saw growing up? The student-led Traditional Seder will take you through the entire Haggadah from start to finish. Gather around with your friends and community members to sing, tell stories, eat, and then eat some more. This seder will most likely use the Artscroll Haggadah.
Home-style JET Seder | 8:00 p.m. | JET House
Missing home for the holidays? Join Rabbi Shmuel and Jackie at THEIR home for a home-style meal with friends. This seder will take place at the JET house.
*This Seder will be capped at 15 people.
2ND NIGHT SEDERS - Thursday Night, April 6th
Community Seder | 6:00 p.m. | Hillel
Join with members of the CU Jewish community for a family-friendly seder featuring creative readings and activities along with the traditional rubrics of the Passover Haggadah. The seder ritual will be conducted in both Hebrew and English. All are welcome.
Coming out...of Egypt Seder | 7:00 p.m. | Hillel
Join LGBTJew for a Coming Out…of Egypt seder! Enjoy the story and flavors of Passover with a queer twist. Jewish, queer, both, or neither: All are welcome! The seder will include Hebrew prayers and will be conducted in English with English commentary. Transliteration and translation will be provided. Led by Rabbi Heather Paul and LGBTJew leadership

WEEKDAY SEDER - Monday, April 10th
The Seder for "Bad Jews" | 6:00 p.m. | Hillel
Do you think you’re a “Bad Jew?” Do you feel disconnected from Judaism, the Jewish community, from your family’s Judaism, or all of the above? We will use the seder space to explore our relationship with Judaism through discussion, reading the Passover story through the eyes of the “Wicked” Child. The seder will include some Hebrew but will be conducted in English with English commentary. Transliteration and translation will be provided.
