Comprised of dedicated alumni, parents, University faculty and staff and community members, the Board of Directors is the directing body of the Illini Hillel. The Board is responsible for ensuring that Illini Hillel is fulfilling its mission and for the legal accountability of its operations. It is responsible for ensuring effective organizational and strategic planning and for ensuring that Hillel has adequate resources to carry out its mission.

Board Member Bios

Coby Engelhart

Coby pursued his undergraduate degree at UIUC in International studies, with a minor in Cultural studies. As a student in Urbana Champaign, he was actively involved in Jewish life on campus, leading alternative break service programming to communities in need, and Birthright trips to Israel. He also coordinated both Hillel and Chabad's kashrut programs on campus, and is a recipient of Hillel's Etz Hayim award. Since graduating in 2011, Coby has returned to his family's business in Chicago, and is currently living in Skokie with his wife and two kids.
