REFLECTIONS ON

KRISTALLNACHT

On November 9th, 1938, Nazis in Germany destroyed synagogues, Jewish homes, schools and businesses and killed almost 100 Jews. This night is known as “Kristallnacht”, or the Night of Broken Glass. Join us to discuss and reflect on this traumatic past and its resonance today.

Featuring an art installation from Shimon Attie’s "The Writing on the Wall" and "Night Watch". Presented by the Initiative in Holocaust, Genocide, and Memory Studies and Program in Jewish Culture & Society and Illini Hillel
