Join us from 6:00 to 7:00pm for an evening of celebrating diversity and inclusion with a gluten free meal. There will also be information about the LGBTQ group on campus, the importance of the ASL community, and information on DREAM (Disability Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring).

3/7

Communal Havdallah on Quad

We will be joined from 7:00 to 7:30pm this month by the DREAM Club to learn about disability advocacy on campus. Members of the club will discuss the importance of a disability cultural house before we end Shabbat with our monthly communal havdallah service.

3/8

Bagel Brunch with Instructor Susan and the ASL Community

Ometz Lev: Jewish Cultural Diversity Panel

3/9

The Deaf community all across the United States and the world have their own culture, values, and general ways of life. At Bagel Brunch from 11:30 to 1:30pm, Instructor Susan Dramin Weiss will tell us of her experience growing up both Jewish and deaf. Students are encouraged to come and learn about the Deaf community.

It takes courage to be different and we want to celebrate that! Come hear your peers from different cultural Jewish backgrounds talk about their Jewish stories, what it means to them, and how their culture has shaped their Jewish experience, all going on from 5:30 to 6:30pm!

3/11

Late Night PJ Purim Hamantaschen Bake

From 9:00-10:00pm, come celebrate inclusion and diversity by getting to know new friends along with making Hamantaschen (a cookie with filling)  in celebration of Purim. There will also be a fun icebreaker activity about being unique at the beginning of the event. Come on out as you get to take home all the Hamantaschen that you make!
