It’s finally October, and the smell of fall is in the air. The brisk air sends chills all over your body, the smell of pumpkin spice lattes fills campus and barn dance season is finally close. All of those sound amazing, but you cannot forget that October is also when midterms are in full swing. For every student, midterm season is a stressful couple of weeks where students stress out, congregate around libraries, fuel themselves with coffee and stay awake at crazier hours than usual.
While these tests are important, your wellbeing is even more important. Midterms are constantly happening, and knowing how to balance the radiating stress from classes and personal relaxation is extremely crucial. Taking time to not focus on classwork, through rock climbing, Frisbee, or just getting coffee with friends, is a great way to recharge. Barn dance and pumpkin spice lattes are calling your name: Do not ignore them. Obviously good grades are important, but always make sure to set time aside so that you do not miss out on the good things in life.
