I have been to Israel twice, including this past summer on a Birthright trip with Illini Hillel. Birthright was amazing, and when I returned home, I decided I wanted to spend my semester abroad in Israel. I am excited to meet new people from all over the world, study at a top ranked university, travel throughout the country, and of course eat falafel. While I know I will be having the time of my life in Israel, I am going to miss the Hillel community in Champaign very much.
I've been involved with Hillel since new student week my freshman year, and Hillel has played a large role in my college experience. Hillel is truly my "home away from home." I take great comfort in knowing that I will feel the same way in Israel as I do when I walk into Hillel's warm and friendly environment.
Have a great week and Shabbat Shalom,
