I instantly met the infamous Josh Gibbs, whose goofy personality and warm welcomes brought me back time and time again. Not long after, I never seemed to leave. I became an Israel intern and spent most of my days in meetings and collaborating with other Israel interns or anyone who would listen.
This semester, my dad came to visit and watch the Nebraska basketball game. He told me he needed to see the place where I "spend all my time." He said he was greeted warmly by friendly women and a nice man in a tight t-shirt. This says a lot about the Hillel community and the way it makes you feel at home. Whether you stay for the bagels, or you stay for free stuff, Hillel lends its hand to all who encounter it. I'm proud to say I've become a member of another tribe; the Illini Hillel tribe.
