Going into this experience, I was very nervous about meeting new people. Starting from scratch and meeting completely new friends at twenty-one years old was very intimidating. I did have a couple friends going into this experience with me, but I knew studying abroad would be so much more meaningful if I shared it with as many people as possible. My life revolves around Dr. Seuss' famous quote, "be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." With this in mind, I gave myself the extra push to meet new friends in my classes and travel with a variety of people. I have met some of the greatest people on this trip that I know will be some of my closest friends and will always hold a special place in my heart.
My program offers "field trips" to places around England and the United Kingdom. Within England, I have been to Dover, Stratford Upon Avon, Brighton, Bath and Stonehenge. My travel docket for outside of England consists of trips to Amsterdam, Paris, Scotland, Rome and Barcelona. I have loved everywhere I have been. Each place is so unique, and there is no way I could possibly choose a favorite destination.
I love being in London because the city has so much history with an abundance of famous tourist attractions. The London Eye is my favorite "landmark" here. London is an amazing place with so much diversity. It is hard to believe that I will be returning to the states in less than a month! This has been an amazing experience, and I would recommend studying abroad to anyone!
