- Scott Aukerman, host of Comedy Bang Bang
Sometimes we all need a little laugh. I am in the middle of my second semester of senior year, and trust me when I tell you - it's lot more work than you would think. Between leaving leadership positions and transitioning new leaders into those positions, working on two major campus initiatives, and desperately trying to find time to apply for jobs, I go to bed every day on campus feeling 1. Exhausted and 2. Accomplished.
One way that I've been able to unwind and relax is through comedy. As most people who know me can attest to, I've spent hours of my days over the past few months listening to comedy podcasts, TV shows, and movies. A lot of people ask me, "Noah, how do you do it? How do you make time for so much entertainment?" I tell them this: When you get a job, it is very clear when you have free time. You are either at work, or you are not. At school, it's not that easy. Even when you're not in class, you always feel like there's something more to do. You need to make your own free time. You need to schedule it in your day, or weekend. That way, you'll be more productive in the other hours, and you won't feel so guilty about taking an hour or two to relax on the couch watching Netflix. Try it this weekend. Block off two hours of leisure time in which you will intentionally relax and pursue your hobbies. You won't regret it.
