Cancer is something that has touched all of our lives at this point. Many like myself, having lost two grandparents to it in less than a year, have seen this fight that Stuart Scott talks about. But just as Scott mentioned in his speech, there may come a time when you are too tired to fight, so it’s time for us to fight for those who cannot. This Saturday, March 12th, from 6 pm – 6 am is Relay for Life, being hosted in the armory. Illini Hillel has a team that will be attending Relay as well as giving out pizza and having a Hillel info table for participants. Please, come and join us as we raise money and fight against cancer. From personal experience, this event is both meaningful and a lot of fun. Having participated with the Hillel team last year, we will spend the night hanging out, playing games, and enjoying ourselves as the festivities around us continue. You can join the team for just $10 here; all money goes to the American Cancer Society. You can come and join us at any time and stay for as long as you want from 6 pm – 6 am, staying the whole time is not required. If your life has been affected by cancer in any sort of way, please join Illini Hillel in fighting cancer and help create a world with more birthdays.
