Let's admit it, finals week can get quite nerve wrecking. Especially at a highly regarded academic institution like the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
Thankfully, Illini Hillel is there to make the week of cramming, writing, printing and coffee drinking a little bit more manageable.
It is a long standing tradition at the Cohen Center to put a ball pit during the week of finals. Over the years many pilgrims came to the famous finals ball pit and submerged themselves in the relaxing round awesomeness.
Here are 8 reasons why people choose Hillel as their place to be during finals:
It is common knowledge that if you are relaxed while studying your retain more information. That is why you will often find a person and a laptop floating around in the ball pit until the building closes at 2am.
Whether you are before or after an exam, you're always tired on finals week. Sink in to a pool of wonder and let the balls muffle the sounds from the outside world.
In the ball pit, just like with your family back home, everyone gets to do their own thing. Usually, there would always be a parent like figure watching you and thinking you're being silly. How great is that?
When there's just too much going on and you are not sure which book to pick up first, you can always turn to organize the ball pit by color. You're likely to get some help from friends.
Nothing is quite the same during finals week. Time, people and reading materials stretch beyond belief...
Let's admit it... It's 1:30am and you're only half way through the material for your 8am exam. You've tried everything, the free hot chocolate at Hillel, the pizza, the netflix series playing in the lounge. Maybe this will help!
You are that awesome. You can grab your favorite book and just enjoy.
Who needs a reason to be in the Hillel Ball Pit?
Have a great break and don't worry, if you didn't get a chance to enjoy the ball pit, it's coming back in May!
